We saw his concert in Burnaby BC & he was great. Personally I wish he would record a Christian album. He sang "I can only Imagine" on Canadian Idol & I played that song for my sick dad in hospital. ]]> Comment on Why Isn’t Kalan Porter An International Singing Star? by sherry http://www.kalanporter.net/why-isnt-kalan-porter-an-international-singing-star.html/comment-page-1#comment-10 sherry Sat, 27 Mar 2010 16:48:16 +0000 http://kalanporter.net/?p=1#comment-10 I also have been a fan of Kalan Porter from idol days.From the moment Kalan sang i knew he was going to be the winner i couldn't not beleave that this voice was coming from an 18 year old..Kalan is my favourite singer of all the singers in the world i do put him up there with Elvis the guy has the most amazing beautiful voice i have ever heard.And there isn't a song in this world he can't sing throw him a song and he sings it better then the original now i say that is a great musician.What i don't understand is why a guy with such great talent is not being put out there all over the world.What a shame ,that people all over the world do not know who Kalan Porter is they are missing an amazing most awesome voice they will ever hear.I have seen Kalan a few times in concert he gives it his all i can't say enough about him the voice says it all.So lets get this amazing voice heard. I felt so lucky to attend his concerts cause is just so talented and amazing on stage. He definitely knows how to connect with his dedicated fans. It's so hard to pick one fav. song since every song is so original. I would love to attend another concert even before the release of his new CD. Wake Up Living tour was one big party for all of the KALANADIAN friends and family. Kalan is a great musician who gives it all so much beyond our wildest dreams. From concerts to charity events, RUN for the CURE, TV performances, radio shows Kalan is full of passion, talent, violin perfection, blogs, and trying to keep it real. KALAN is truly the "BESTEST" SINGER Canada has supported. It would be a shame for Kalan not to be exposed to the rest of the world. And NO its not only about the hair. He is my absolutely favourite singer EVER! As well as his incredible voice, Kalan is an excellent violinist and plays several other instruments as well. In addition, he is a songwriter. Also, whenever I hear him do a cover of another musician's song, Kalan always makes it his own, as well as better than the original. Many, many others have said this also. He also has the 'it' factor (otherwise known as charisma). It would be a huge shame if the world outside Canada, and to a certain extent the US, as he has many fans there, does not get to hear and enjoy this truly phenomenal musician. Currently working on his third album, I sincerely hope the rest of the world finally discovers Kalan Porter. I have been a fan of Kalan Porter for the past 5+ years. SAD, here we have this wonderful voice and song which no one heard because SOMEONE decided it shouldn't be heard, even with knowing there are listener's wanting to hear his songs yet we hear all the bubble gum crap ad nausium. I don't 'get" the Canadian Radio scene, I stopped listening to the radio because they don't play what ""I" want to hear. Who knows why Kalan wasn't picked up in the states but with him working hard on his 3rd CD it is time, the world NEEDS to hear this voice. It will bring a sense of 'calm' to a crazy world. Maybe when he goes elsewhere then Canadian Radio will give him the respect he deserves.
